Lindstrøm and myself hail from the same scene in Oslo. Or same group of like minded folks, if you wish. Over the years, he'sI also become a good friend of mine. I guess we connected over a shared love for blinking lights and dusty old synthesizers and drum machines.

His tune 'I Feel Space' is without doubt one of the absolute masterpieces of modern contemporary dance music. Hans-Peter had obviously experienced success before 'I Feel Space' (as Slow Supreme), but I still remember us being somewhat amazed at how well this tune ended up doing when it hit. It was nothing less of an underground monster hit. There has been others after him, but he certainly was the first of "us" to achieve what felt like making it.

This cover version was initially something I just did for fun, to see if I could pull it off. There was no great plan to it. It took me a while to figure out all his chord progressions, but when I had that down, I simply recorded it all in one take, using a sequencer, a modular synth a drum synth and a sampler.

I was quite happy with the result, so I ended up sending it to Hans-Peter to see what he thought of it. To my pleasure, he was very enthusiastic. As the months went by, I shared it with more people, and I've admittedly been somewhat surprised by all the positive feedback I've received.

When I finally decided to release this, I figured I would do it properly and get someone I really admired to do a remix of it. Lord Weatherall was my top pick. He delivered a remix that was both great and very far from my own version, which is always a good thing in my book.

Since then, the positive feedback has kept coming in. Support from world class acts, like Dj Harvey, Francois K, Laurent Garnier, Tensnake, Eric Duncan, Lovefingers, Tim Sweeney and Moscoman means I can tick off a couple of boxes on my lifetime achievement list. ;-)

Given the quality of Peza's music it didn't take much convincing to subscribe. Every track on this is a belter - 'Our Lips Are Sealed' is nothing short of genius and shows a genuine love for the original (which is one of my favourite FB3 tracks) Esteban (Black Light Disco)
