about

Volume two of this years continuum project is out. I'll be releasing one track every other week throughout the year, ganged together in lovely little two track EP packages.

The first track of this second EP is 'Tempi'. Yes my lovely nerds, it's named after the Make Noise eurorack module. You got that one right. But to be completely honest it doesn't have much to do with it. No Tempis was used or harmed in the making of this track. I've actually never owned one. I think. I just like the name and figured I would use it as a song title. Very deep, as you can understand. That's all. We got that out of the way then.

This is another track where I explore the Octatrack's possibilities, mainly by playing with some pad like textures. My modular is providing the the melodic elements. May I particularly draw your attention to the exceptionally weird Akai S950 filter (Mum M8) on one of the leads? Okay, okay, I'll shut up with the geekery now.

‘Waves’ was made during the same period and I thought they fitted pretty darn well together when I listened back to them. They both sound a bit melancholy to me. I can't remember being particularly sad at the time when i made these though, so don't ask me why. Creativity works in mysterious ways. They’re both certainly early hours jam.

Hope you enjoy them!

All the best
Marius
